2) Call for nominations for the 2017 Weissenberg Award

The next ESR Weissenberg Award will be bestowed during AERC2017 in Copenhagen. The award is given for outstanding, long-term achievements in the field of Rheology. Only rheologists whose center of scientific activities lie in Europe are eligible, and nominations of awardees are welcome. Nominations must include:

• Brief scientific biography.

• Review of nominee?s accomplishments advancing the science of Rheology upon which the nomination is based.

• Curriculum vitae with publication list.

• Supporting letters from other rheologists, which address nominee?s achievements.

Nominations should be sent to the Chairman of the Award Committee Ole Hassager (oh@kt.dtu.dk) no later than November 30, 2016. Please do not hesitate to contact the Award Committee or the ESR President (mats.stading@sp.se) in case you need further information

3) Call for nominations for the ESR Executive Board and Nomination Board

The term of the current ESR Executive Board and Nomination Board is coming to an end during the AERC 2017 meeting. Nominations are invited for the following positions of the ESR Executive Board:

• President

• Secretary

• Treasurer

• 2 Members-at-large

as well as for the Nomination Committee

• 4 Members

Please submit your nominations (maximum 9 names for all open positions) to the Chairman of the Nomination Committee Manfred Wagner (manfred.wagner@tu-berlin viagra g.de) until November 30, 2016. The current Nomination Committee will handle the proposals confidentially and will suggest the new ESR Executive Board and Nomination Committee members for election during the Committee Meeting at AERC 2017.
