RHEOLOGY SUMMER SCHOOL

The members of the Romanian Society of Rheology have the pleasure to invite you at our Rheology Summer School 2017, a workshop dedicated to the young researchers (Master/PhD students and post-docs) with interest in rheology, complex fluids, non-Newtonian fluid mechanics and related topics.
This year the topic of the school is: Modeling the Experimental Data.
The school is organized for 3 days and includes sessions focused to the following topics:
1.Fitting procedures of rheological data;
2.Rheological characterization of complex fluids in shear and extensional flows;
3.Flow visualizations of complex fluids;
4.Data analysis, modeling and numerical simulations.
We intend to have for each session a key-note speaker, a recognized scientist in the area of rheology and complex fluids modeling. Plenary lectures, students presentations and round tables will be organized during the 3 days of workshop. We also plan to dedicate a special number of the Scientific Bulletin of the University Politehnica of Bucharest (SCOPUS index) where selected papers communicated at the worshop will be published.
The organizers welcome participation at this workshop of universities, institutions, scientific societies and companies.
General information:
We expect the cost of accommodation and meals per day in Gura Humorului to be around 60 EUR. The fee is planed to be around 200 Euro, which includes also the cost of transport from Bucharest to Gura Humorului (500 km by bus). We shall inform you about additional costs, as function of the “social program” you decide to follow (culture/bike/canoe/mountain trips).
We recommend the participants to arrive in Bucharest on June 18th (Sunday); we depart on Monday and will be back to Bucharest on Friday (June 23th).
